Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RoomGen (“RoomGen”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and the RoomGen studio (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

• Account data. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier via Firebase Authentication.
• Content you upload. Floor plans, room photos, briefs, and other inputs you provide to generate renders.
• Generated content. The renders, moodboards, and project data the Service produces for you.
• Usage & device data. Product analytics and session recordings (via PostHog), and standard server logs (IP, browser, pages visited) to operate and improve the Service. We keep the date of the first signup in your browser (a first-party cookie and local storage, 90 days) so free credits are given once per browser.
• Email you give us directly. If you enter your address in a sign-up form on our website, we store it along with the page you were on and the campaign or referring site that brought you there, so we can send you the updates you asked for. Reply to any of those emails to come off the list.
• Billing data. Subscription and payment information is processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card details.

How we use your information

• To provide the Service: authenticate you, run the AI render pipeline on your inputs, and store your projects.
• To process subscriptions, credits, and payments.
• To analyze usage, fix bugs, and improve the product.
• To communicate with you about your account, support requests, and important changes.

AI processing

To generate renders and answer you in chat, the floor plans, photos, product images, briefs, and messages you provide, and the images made from them, are processed on our behalf by our AI providers: Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Anthropic.

These providers may process this content in any of their regions worldwide. Some of them may keep it for up to 30 days to detect abuse.

We do not sell your content. We do not use it, and our AI providers may not use it, to train models beyond what is necessary to produce your results.

Sharing & sub-processors

We share data only with service providers that help us run RoomGen Studio, including:

• Google (Firebase and Google Cloud): authentication, database, storage, and AI processing.
• Microsoft Azure: AI processing to generate and check images, in Azure regions worldwide.
• Anthropic: AI processing for the chat assistant.
• Our payment provider: subscription billing (merchant of record).
• PostHog: product analytics and session recordings.
• Crisp: the support chat, when you open it.
• Resend: delivery of account and update emails, and recording when an email we send you is opened.

We do not sell your personal information.

Emails we send you

Some of our emails are sent automatically, for example a welcome or a note when something went wrong with a render. They contain a small image that tells us when the email is opened, so we know whether our messages are useful. You can block it by turning off images in your email app. Every such email says how to stop receiving them: reply with "unsubscribe" and we will not send you more.

Data retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Contact below).

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Who we are

RoomGen is operated by Casa Mayuka Private Limited, a company registered in India and based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Casa Mayuka Private Limited is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.
